The Power Of Bold

Bold Cranberry Plus features two concentrated extracts of cranberry, delivering a therapeutic amount of 36 mg soluble Proanthocyanidins confirmed by DMAC/A2 testing methodology (rather than insoluble PACs which have not been shown to be effective). These extracts are amplified with Non-GMO Vitamin C to enhance the formula. Recent research shows daily use of cranberry supports urinary tract health*

Cranberries contain both soluble PACs, found in the juice and insoluble PACs, found in the fiber of the skin and seeds. Studies show it is the soluble PACs that have anti-adhesion activity, while the insoluble PACs have not shown any activity. Many products do not specify the type or quantity of PACs. At Bold Botanica we test specifically for soluble PACs, using the DMAC/A2 test method, the same testing method used by Consumer Labs. Studies suggest that 36 mg of soluble PACs per day supports anti-adhesion activity.*

The Wellness Within

Cranberries have some of the most potent antioxidants of any commonly available berries that have been studied in depth; one study found that out of 20 common fruits, cranberries have the highest level of phenols. This gives cranberry status as a superfood. Phenols or phenolic acids, a type of antioxidant, are compounds that are protective to many aspects of human health. Research has shown that a compound found specifically in Cranberry, A-type proanthocyanidins, enhance what is known as “AAA” or “anti-adherence activity” in the lining of the urinary tract. This helps support a healthy urinary tract system. These same A-type proanthocyanidins may also help support oral, gut, and cardiovascular health.*
